March for Manston

11th July 2014, meeting at 18:00 at the Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum.

A march to show our community’s solidarity for the re-opening of Manston Airport and to show that we are not prepared to give up despite Ann Gloag’s refusal to either sell or communicate her intentions for the land.

We would like the march to be peaceful but colourful and noisy with as many flags, banners, ribbons and whistles, drums etc as possible.

We will depart from the museum car park at 6.00pm and will march along to the terminal building where speeches will be made and then march back to the museum.

If a splinter group would like to meet simultaneously at the Minster roundabout and march parallel to the runway alongside Hengist Way that would be fantastic. That way we could cover both sides of the airport. Please note: this would not be a good route to take children on.

Please remember safety is of paramount importance. We do not take any responsibility for any accidents.
