Sale of Manston Airport from Stone Hill Park to RSP has been agreed
Breaking news that Stone Hill Park have agreed a sale of the airport site with RSP.
There is little information at the moment but the letter on the Planning Inspectorate website from RSP’s lawyers says;-
“I am writing to inform you that a subsidiary company of the Applicant for the above Development Consent Order, RiverOak MSE Ltd, has today exchanged contracts with Stone Hill Park Limited for the purchase of all of the land it owns at Manston Airport. Completion of the transaction is expected by 11 July 2019 at the latest.
The Applicant will provide a fuller summary of its overall case in the light of this significant development, which may not be until completion has taken place. Any submissions made after 9 July 2019 will be made to the Secretary of State for Transport.”

Statement from Stone Hill Park
Trevor Cartner, Chairman of Stone Hill Park Ltd, said:
“I can confirm that Stone Hill Park and RiverOak Strategic Partners (RSP) have agreed terms for the sale of the former Manston Airport site. Final negotiations were swift and handled professionally. Contracts have now been exchanged with completion to follow shortly.
“The site has been the subject of considerable debate over the past five years of our ownership and we have invested a substantial seven figure sum in pursuing a planning application for our vision for the site but that has been met with little support from Thanet District Council.
“Having now been made what we consider to be a very good offer for the site we have decided to sell. We wish RSP good luck in their own aspirations for the future of the airport. At some point in the near future we will restructure our company and invest the capital released into other major regeneration projects throughout the UK.”

More news as we get it.
What great news.Hopefully we might see the Red Arrows flying and landing again.
How much Profit has MRS GLOAG made in the last 5 years through her go between s ?
What great news. Lets hope we can get on with it. It all seems to me such a protracted procedure to get Manston up and running again! It is not as if it wasn’t an airport before. I wonder if other countries take as long, probably not. We should up our game in this very competitive world.
What great news about Manston, I was born in Ramsgate, although living in the West Country now, have supported the efforts to re-open the ‘drome.
Good luck to Manston for the future, re-opening will help the economy of the Isle of Thanet.
Absolutely wonderful. I am delighted. Especial thanks to our MP Roger Gale
Let’s stop all this faffing about and get this Airport open it was an airport before and it should be again I live in Manston about 5 minutes walk away and I like many others round here can’t wait to see it open again
