RiverOak Strategic Partners begin their statutory consultations
RiverOak Strategic Partners (RSP) begin their six week block of statutory consultations on Wednesday 14th June. If you have any questions regarding their plans for the airport, the timescales involved, the funding requirements, the future of the museums, RSP’s new company formation or anything else then go along to one of the meetings and ask the representatives firsthand.

Open as an airport people still want it as an airport
I will always favour for the reopening of manston, not also will it be an asset for KLM to take over the passenger wing, and as all of the London airports are nearly bursting at the seams Manston could cope with all of the overflow freight . There would also be a lot of jobs created.
I am supporting the re opening of Manston as an airport. I used it many times in the past but since it’s closure I have had to use Gatwick, which was over crowded, it felt like it was struggling with the excessive number of people being forced to usie it. Manston would be a much more user friendly airport for people in the South East, as the location and size of the airport makes it much more accessible and comfortable to use, e.g no need to set off four hours before the flight and no need to travel on dangerous, lorry congested motorways to get there.
Even if Manston was just used as a freight airport, it’ would create jobs and advertise the area.
Having worked at Manston airport in a professional capacity I feel that with the correct guidance and leadership the airport could again be a viable entity. It is necessary to have the correct people (and funds) in position at the very beginning. I believe that this is now in place.
