Respond to KCC’s Transport Consultation to support a re-opened Manston Airport

Kent County Council have opened a far-reaching consultation called the Local Transport Plan 4 which will run until 30th October 2016.

KCC would like to hear your views on its draft Local Transport Plan and the outcomes and priorities contained in it.

We encourage Manston Airport supporters to respond to the report highlighting the benefits of a re-opened, operational airport together with improved road and rail links to Thanet.

We have excellent road infrastructure from Manston to M25. Less air pollution being closer to France and Europe. Ideal extension for HS1 Ramsgate to Faversham. Great employment opportunities. Runway already built. Gatwick / Heathrow would take years due to planning applications. Court battles and the like. It is and has been an airport for years. Opportunities are amazing. Please don’t waste a valuable asset by building houses on it.
